Last Friday's Formula Drift x Casio Media Launch was a blast! The turn up from the media and distinguished guests were entertained by the host of the event, Daniel Ong, with light humour and a small challenge which happened at the end to close the event. It is hilarious to see the Press battle out in the ice breaker challenge, where each contestant had to break a block of ice to get the limited edition Casio x Flesh Imp G-Shock watch. Talk about a cold war!
The Formula Drift race car took the centre spotlight with its signature sports bumper stickers featuring Casio and Flesh Imp! Along the perimeter of the tent lined glass boxes of Casio G-Shock watches, and a brief history accompanied with the display.
US Formula Drift racer Ken Gushi was the main star of the Media Launch, as he graced the stage and shared with us more about the extreme motorsport, and how Drift racing became a passion of his. Daniel Ong then invited one-half of Flesh Imp, Nicholas Cho, onstage to share his words on what the collaboration with Casio is about (you go Nicholas!) We would say it was a thrill to meet Ken Gushi in person, as the Japanese-American was friendly and warm with the exchange of words.
We had the honour of styling Ken as well at Flesh Imp’s Flagship store at SCAPE* too!
Ken Gushi looked absolutely wicked in Flesh Imp! A huge thanks to Formula Drift Holdings and Casio for giving us the opportunity to collaborate, and meet such a talented sportsman in person!
